To provide subsidy on insurance premium to Scheduled Tribe (ST) small coffee growers who likely to be impacted by adverse rainfall.

Eligibility

  •  Beneficiary should belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST)

  •  Beneficiary should be a small coffee grower owning up to 10 hectares of land

Benefit Description

Rainfall insurance Scheme for Coffee (RISC) - Subsidy in the form of subsidy on insurance premium given to small Scheduled Tribe coffee growers against trigger events like adverse rainfall

Application process

  •  Coffee growers can avail insurance cover from the Agriculture insurance Company of India Ltd. or their designated agency.

    Conditions if Any
    • ln case any State Government is not willing to bear its share of Subsidy, the same shall be borne by the concerned Growers.
