Eligibility
- Who are employed in estates recognized by the Rubber Board and admeasuring to an area not less than 0.40 ha (In case the estate has not been recognized by the Board, an employment certificate from the RPS President / Rubber Board Field officer concerned should be produced by the applicant), and not covered by the provisions of Plantations Labour Act, 1951)
- Whose wages do not exceed Rs.5000/- per month
- Who have rendered a minimum of 90 days work during the preceding 12 months of the date of submitting the application.
- At the time of operation the worker should have at least one surviving child and not more than three children.
- If the applicant is a male worker his age should not be over 50 and in the case of a female worker it must be between 20 and 45. Either the husband or the wife can undergo the operation.
- However the benefit will be granted only to one. The sterilization operation should be conducted in a central / State Government Hospital / Nursing home or any Hospital / Nursing home recognized by the Government for the purpose and the claim should be supported with a certificate in the prescribed form from the same hospital.
