Eligibility

  •  Only a girl child residing in India can be a beneficiary

  •  Account can be opened in the name of a girl child till she attains the age of 10 years in any notified branches of commercial banks or in post office.

To provide assistance to girl for cope up with the future requirements

Application process

  •  First of All get the Application Form from given link: http://www.pradhanmantriyojana.in/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Common-Application-Form-for-All-Banks.pdf 

  •  Fill in the application form and also attach following documents ?
Birth Certificate of Girl Child , Address Proof of Parent (or Guardian) , Proof of Identity of Parent (or Guardian)

  •  Submit the Complete application and submit it at the nearest post office

  •  Make your First Deposit and receive the passbook from the Post Office Official

    Conditions if Any
    • Only one account under this scheme is permissible for every girl child
    • The maturity duration of the account is 21 years from the date of opening the account
    • Interest at as may be notified by the government from time to time will be calculated on yearly compounded basis and credited to the account
    • The account is limited for just two girl child of the parents
