Purpose

To provide assistance for equal opportunities for higher studies, increase GER and focus more on professional education in North-eastern region

Eligibility

 Students with Domicile of NE region who have passed class XII or equivalent exam from a school situated within NE region through recognized board, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS.
 Should have secured admission in a general, technical, professional degree course including medical/ paramedical course in universities/ colleges under 2f and 12B of UGC.
 Parents' income less than Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.

Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme - Financial assistance in the form of Scholarship provided to North-eastern region students who have taken admission in any college or professional programme after class XII.
