Subsidy to Self Help Group to set up their own factories

Purpose
To provide subsidy to Self Help Group to set-up their own factories or set-up factories by forming co-operatives with other Self Help Groups by supporting them financially.

Eligibility

  • Applicant SHG or cooperative of SHG will have 200 Ha under its command area Preconditions for granting of the support for setting up of other factories to SHG / cooperative / Producers Company are as follows:
  • The SHG must have stabilized their working and have sufficient green leaf to support a viable processing unit The aggregate command area of SHG shall not be less than 100 Ha
  • The SHG should have a good track record of performance of at least three years preceding the date of application
  • The SHG shall also explore possibility of involving with SFAC (Small Farmers Agricultural Consortium), NABARD and Scheduled Banks for meeting part of the project cost
  • A copy of the letter addressed to the Controller of licensing requesting for TMCO registration
  • The applicant SHG shall submit a declaration to the effect that they will comply with the Plant Protection Code guidelines
  • All the applicant members of the SHG shall certify in the SHGs letterhead that they will be following the safety standards in the factory They shall also certify that they are complying with the provisions of the relevant labour laws and there will be no outstanding dues exceeding Rs10,000/- on account of workers
