Subsidy for setting up Mega Leather Cluster

Purpose 
To provide subsidy for mega leather clusters having large concentration of leather units as also states having potential for growth of the leather sector in view of the labour advantage and raw material availability.

Eligibility

  •  Beneficiary should be engaged in leather business and intent to set up/up grade the infrastructure for environment protection 

  •  The Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), promoted by such entrepreneurs for setting up such infrastructure shall be the recipient of the assistance under the scheme

  •  It will include two steps - 

  •  In-principle approval under Mega Leather Cluster (MLC)

  •  Preparation of DPR under MLC
